Thank you for your participation in this survey, researching problems in menstrual health in Northern Michigan. Questions will relate to access to sanitary period products and impacts on mental and physical health. The survey is intended for individuals who currently experience menstruation. Currently experiencing menstruation is being generally defined for the purposes of this survey to mean having had a period in the last year.
The survey is currently limited to individuals ages 18 and above.
This survey is being run by a health science student attending Northwestern Michigan College, with the intention of collecting data about a topic which is nationally recognized but minimally studied in our Northern Michigan region.
Participation is entirely voluntary and greatly appreciated.
Northern Michigan is being defined on based on geography to include the following:
Entirety of Upper Peninsula (Gogebic, Ontonagon, Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga, Iron, Marquette, Dickinson, Menominee, Alger, Delta, Schoolcraft, Luce, Mackinac, and Chippewa counties)
And the following Lower Peninsula counties: Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Charlevoix, Antrim, Otsego, Montmorency, Alpena, Leelanau, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Crawford, Oscoda, Alcona, Manistee, Wexford, Missaukee, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Iosco, Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Gladwin, and Arenac.
